Anna University, which is located in Chennai (Tamil Nadu), has announced admission to its several post graduate programmes in various disciplines. These programmes will be conducted for the upcoming session of 2011. Students, who are seeking their admission in these following courses, have to apply before the last date of registration.

Programmes

• Master of Engineering (ME)
• Master of Technology (M Tech)
• Master of Architecture (M Arch)
• Master of Planning (M Plan)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed minimum three years of bachelor’s level examination in the relevant stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate, from any recognized University. The SC/ST candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with minimum 45% marks in aggregate.

 

Admission Criteria

Admissions of the candidates to these aforementioned courses are decided according to their marks in the GATE Entrance Exam. However, non-GATE scores candidates should have appeared in TANCET entrance test.

 

Application Criteria

The candidates can obtain application form in person by Cash / Demand Draft for Rs 500 for General (Rs 250 for SC/SCA/ST candidates) candidates. They can also get application form by post by sending a DD for Rs 600 along with a requisition letter and an address slip to the Secretary, TANCA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025. Alternatively, candidates can also download the application form from the official website of the University.
