Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering most commonly known as GATE, which is expected to conduct on January - February 2012. GATE is the entrance examination that all the engineering student ( Computer Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,EC,CSE and EEE) can apply to get the admission into the ME & M.Tech master degree courses.

Before getting the information on syllabus, you need to know the thing that regardless of any branches you can select the GATE examination for CSE, ECE, EEE, Chemical Engineering & Mechanical & biotechnology stream.
Committee of GATE has introduce different syllabus for all the branches, however many subjects are common like C, C++, Digital Electronic and many more. GATE 2012 Syllabus includes almost 5 to 8 subjects for different engineering branches.
