Cairo - Painting work of famous artists Van Gogh that valued at U.S. $ 55 million or almost USD 495 billion, was stolen from a museum in Cairo, Egypt. Egyptian government has denied news that mentions this painting has been found.
MENA agency had launched the news when the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosni, said security forces arrested two Italians at the airport who will run away with the painting. However, later corrected MENA news.
"There unsettled matter to be done in ways to find the painting," said Farouk Husni told MENA as reported by Reuters on Sunday (22/08/2010).
The painting titled "Poppy Flower" is now his fate is still unclear. This painting was stolen from the Mahmoud Khalil Museum is located on the banks of the Nile on Saturday (21/08/2010) yesterday. The security forces every record visitors explore the museum for clues.
Mahmoud Khalil Museum is a museum for the Middle Eastern art of the 19th century and 20th. The museum also holds works of Gauguin, Monet, Manet, Renoir.
