Belgium: 2008-2009 VLIR-UOS Scholarship Programme for Master and PhD





As part of the Flemish Interuniversity Council,( Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad - VLIR) , VLIR-UOS is responsible for the policy and management of the international cooperation between the 6 universities and 22 university colleges in Flanders and their partner universities in the South.

The international study opportunities opened in Belgium. And the VLIR funded International Courses (ICPs) and the International Training Programmes (ITPs).

Every year, with the support of the Belgian Directorate-General for Development Cooperation (DGDC), VLIR awards scholarships to students from developing countries in Asia and Africa and another else to study one of the 15 ICPs or one of the 6 ITPs.

Maximum 180 scholarships available for first-year ICP students each year and maximum of 70 scholarships for ITP participants.

Generally these programmes primarily for students and professionals from developing countries, but they are also for other people. The ocassions are opened for them.
