NMAT 2012 Eligibility

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test, which is popularly known as NMAT, is an all India level entrance exam. NMAT is conducted under the guidance of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), which is one of the prestigious management institutes in the country. The candidates, who are seeking their admission to the postgraduate level courses in the discipline of management of the institute, have to appear for NMIMS Management Aptitude Test. NMAT 2012 will be held from October 31, 2011 to January 6, 2012.


Eligibility Criteria for NMAT 2012
The interested candidates of NMAT 2012 have to fulfill all the eligibility criteria, which are mentioned below:

  • The candidates have to possess bachelor’s degree in any stream with not less than 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent CGPA in aggregate, from any recognized University.

  • The final year appearing students or result awaited students can also apply for the NMAT 2012.

  • The international candidates have to pass bachelor’s level of examination with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, from any recognized University of AIU. In addition, they must have possessed minimum two-year of work experience along with GMAT score of 650.

  • The final selection of the candidates to the postgraduate level programmes of NMIMS will be decided after examination the performance of the candidates in NMAT 2012, group discussion and personal interview.

NMAT 2012

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a national level entrance test, which is conducted for the admission of the candidates in post graduate level programmes in the field of management. The management entrance test is conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). NMAT 2012 will be conducted from October 31, 2011 to January 6, 2012.

NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) 2012 consists of multiple-choice type questions which examine candidates’ skills in language, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation and Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a deemed university, which was established in 1981 under the guidance of University of Mumbai. It is approved by All India Council for Technical University (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India.

NMAT 2012 Registration

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Mumbai begins the registration process for its NMAT 2012 entrance test. Candidates, who are seeking to appear in the entrance test, have to apply on or before the due date. NMAT is a two-month test starting from October 31, 2011 to January 6, 2012.

NMAT 2012 can be taken into three attempts i.e. one original attempt and two retakes. The best of the three scores candidates will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

CAT 2011

Common Admission Test, which is popularly known as the CAT Exam 2011, is the most popular and relevant entrance tests conducted for the post graduate level programmes in the field of management. CAT 2011 Syllabus

The authority of the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2011 has not prescribed any specific syllabus for the test but one can prepare for the exam according to the given topics:

Quantitative Ability Syllabus for CAT 2011
Time and work, percentages, linear equations, quadratic equations, logarithm, progressions, mensuration, trigonometry, co-ordinate geometry, geometry, mixtures and allegations, set theory, functions, probability, permutation and combination, inequalities, surds and indices, binomial theorem, complex numbers, ratio and proportions, averages, speed, time and distance, interest, profit and loss, LCM and HCF and number systems.

Data Interpretation Syllabus for CAT 2011
Venn diagrams, pie chart, line charts, tables, bar graphs and column graphs.

Logical Reasoning Syllabus for CAT 2011
Blood relations, number and letter series, syllogism, calendars, logical connectives, clocks, logical matching, cubes, logical sequence, Venn diagrams, seating arrangements and binary logic.

Verbal Ability Syllabus for CAT 2011

Eligibility for MAT 2011 Exam

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), which is a premier unit of management study in the country. The entrance test is conducted every year in the months of February, May, September and December. It is a national level test, which is held for the post graduate level programmes in the field of management.

 
Almost all the management institutes in India accept the candidates’ scores in MAT Exam. Nonetheless, MAT 2011 Exam will be conducted on September 4, 2011 through either paper based or computer based.
 
The interested candidates can seek to appear in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2011 but after completing all the following eligibility criteria:

  • Candidates need to have passed three years of bachelor’s level examination in any discipline, from any recognized University.
  • The qualifying examination should have passed by them with not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates, who are appearing in the final year of qualifying examination or waiting for their results, can also apply for MAT 2011 Exam.
  • There will be no experience required to appear in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2011.

MAT Exam 2011 Application Form

Management Aptitude Test, which is popularly known as MAT Exam, will be conducted on September 4, 2011, by All Indian Management Association (AIMA). It is one of the most important entrance tests conducted for the management study and accepted by almost all the management institutes in India. In 2011, MAT Exam will be conducted in two modes i.e. paper based or computer based.

The participating students have to choose one of these modes to appear in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) 2011.












Application Criteria

The interested candidates can select any of the following modes to apply for the MAT Exam 2011:

  • Aspirants can obtain the application form along with MAT Bulletin/CD on submitting the cash payment of Rs 1200 from listed branches of Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank and listed Study Centres of AIMA or on cash payment of Rs 1050 from AIMA, New Delhi.
  • Aspirants can also obtain application form for MAT Exam 2011 by submitting a Demand Draft (DD) of Rs 1050 in favour of ‘All India Management Association’ payable at Delhi from any Bank. They can register online at website - www.aima-ind.org/matsep11 along with the DD details.
  • Aspirants can register online at the website of www.aima-ind.org/matsep11 with Credit Card payment.
