ISRO to Launch PSLV-C17 on July 15

Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle launch by ISRO
ISRO-Indian Space Research Organisation is using now to its rocket PSLV most powerful configuration to launch a communication satellite from Sriharikota on July 15. It’s only for the second time ever that a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle is being used for a communication satellite, the first one Kalpana-1 in 2002.
Communication satellites are launched on board GSLV or ISRO goes in procured launches overseas. Similar PSLV, with extended strap-ons, was used for India’s Chandrayaan-1 mission.

The GSAT-12 "fast-track" satellite with a mass of 1410 kg, has 12 Extended C-band transponders. It is slated to be injected into space by PSLV-C17 after the launch from Sriharikota spaceport slated between 16.48 hours and 17.08 hours on July 15. Launch vehicle of PSLV of XL-class will cost about Rs 100-110 crore, and GSAT-12 will be about Rs 80 crore. The life of the satellite will be about 7-8 years.
To meet growing demand, Bangalore-headquartered ISRO is building GSAT-10 with 36 transponders and it would be launched by Arianespace from Kourou in French Guiana during March-April next year.ISRO is also building another satellite GSAT-7 that will have a few more transponders.

ISRO launches PSLV C16 carrying three Satellites

ISRO is under high Preparations for the launch of Polar Satellite
Launch Vehicle
(PSLV-C16)which will carry three satellites,
-Resourcesat
-youthsat
-x-sat

RESOURCESAT-2 built by ISRO - the primary satellite is an advanced remote sensing satellite weighing 1206 kg for facilitating the study and management of natural resources, the release said.
YOUTHSAT, weighing 92 kg, is a joint Indo-Russian satellite for stellar and atmospheric studies.

X-SAT, weighing 105 kg, is a microsatellite for imaging applications built by Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.

Integration of all the three satellites to the PSLV launcher has been successfully accomplished..

GSLV with cryogenic engine

GSLV-Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle::

The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle is an expendable launch system developed and operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to launch its INSAT-type satellites into geostationary orbit to make India independent on foreign rockets launchers.

To know more i too digged a lot for you i want to share it with you..
Unlike PSLV that
GSLV's main features is that
-it Uses CRYOGENIC ENGINE,can develop more thrust and consequently take heavier satellites to      36,000 km above the Earth.Lets see what it featured on./

Main Features::
The GSLV improved by overall performance of the PSLV with addition of liquid 'strap on' boosters and the most cryogenic upper stage Engine.

It is a three-stage launch vehicle with
-the first stage being solid-propelled,
-the second liquid-propelled (with hypergolic fuels) and
-the final stage being liquid propelled as well (with cryogenic fuels).

Therefore, ISRO developed the cryogenic engine used in the GSLV indigenously.
The GSLV can place or position approximatly 5000 kg into an east'erly lower Earth orbit.
Using the Russian 12KRB upper stage, with KVD-1 cryogenic rocket engine, GSLV can place 2200 kg (4,850 lbm) into an 18 degree geostationary transfer orbit.

Three Stages plays major role and each one have its one limit to bound.

First Stage:
S139 stage is 2.8 m in diameter and which is made up of M250grade maraging steel(i think might be more strong to bare the extreme heat during ignition) and it has a nominal propellant loading of 139 tonnes of fuel in it..
oh..

Second Stage:
This stage is powered by the Vikas engine. The booster has 2.8 m diameter and uses 37.5 metric tonnes of liquid propellant as fuel and nitrogen tetroxide(N2O4) as oxidizer, in two aluminium alloy compartments separated by a common bulk head. It delivers 720 kN (160,000 lbf) of thrust.
KN-Kilo Newton.

Third Stage:
This is the final stage and its propelled by the most powerful ROcket Engine,by a cryogenic rocket engine,it is is 2.8 m in diameter and uses
liquid hydrogen (LH2) and
liquid oxygen (LOX)
in two separate tanks of aluminium alloy.Propellant loading capacity is 12.5 tonnes of fuel.

>>The indigenous cryogenic engine was built in Tamil Nadu at the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre.<<
i'm happy to say its built on my soil..tamilan.

PSLV indian Rocket Launcher

The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle  known by abbreviation PSLV, is an expendable launch system developed and operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)

The PSLV has four stages using solid and liquid propulsion systems alternately.

>>The first stage is one of the largest solid-fuel rocket boosters in the world and carries 138 tonnes of Hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) bound propellant with a diameter of 2.8 m.
The motor case is made of maraging steel. The booster develops a maximum thrust of about 4,430 kN. Six strap-on motors, four of which are ignited on the ground, augment the first stage thrust. Each of these solid propellant strap-on motors carries nine tonnes of HTPB propellant and produces 677 kN thrust.

>>The second stage employs the Vikas engine and carries 41.5 tonnes (40 tonnes till C-5 mission) of liquid propellant –
--Unsymmetrical Di-Methyl Hydrazine (UDMH) as fuel and
                    --Nitrogen tetroxide (N2O4) as oxidizer.
It generates a maximum thrust of 800 kN (724 till C-5 mission).

>>The third stage uses 7 tonnes of HTPB-based solid propellant and produces a maximum thrust of 324 kN. It has a Kevlar-polyamide fiber case and a submerged nozzle equipped with a flex-bearing-seal gimbaled nozzle thrust. .
For roll control it uses the RCS (Reaction Control System) of fourth stage.
