Save $24 On the SAT Test Fee

Save $24 to register for the SAT test!

Here's How it Works:
Students in their junior and senior year of high school who are preparing for college, should be planning to take the SAT in order to qualify for colleges that require a standardized test for admission.  While there are colleges that have changed their admission philosophy and practice away from requiring the SAT, there are still many that require scores from one of the standardized tests.

And of course- there is a cost.  The fee to register for the SAT test is $47 for each SAT assessment test for which you register.

Students who cannot afford to pay the test fees can receive up to 4 Fee Waivers - two Fee Waivers for the SAT test and two Fee Waivers for the SAT Subject Tests (also required by some colleges and universities.)

Registering for the SAT
We always encourage students to register for the SAT test online since it's quick, easy and more accurate.  First you will need to set up a free account on the College Board's website.  By registering for the test on line you will be able to select your test center location, get a confirmation immediately and print your admission ticket, required to be admitted to the testing center.
If you prefer, it is still possible to register by using a paper form.  Either way you must register and usually you will need to register before the deadline in order to avoid paying a late fee - even if you have a Fee Waiver.
However if you register by the late registration date of Friday, September 24, the College Board will waive your SAT late registration fee of $24 for the October test only.  Waiving the late fee only applies to the October 2010 test - so it's good this week only 9/20-9/24.

Please be sure to follow all of the instructions and make sure that the registration forms, whether on line or on paper, are complete and accurate.  This will ensure that there is no delay in receiving your scores.
Good Luck!!

Getting Into College Starts Here

One of the best ways to learn about admission to colleges and universities is to attend a National College Fair.  National Fairs are sponsored by the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and coordinated by a local organizing committee in the host city.  They are free to attend and give you access to hundreds of colleges and universities from across the country.  Check out some of the upcoming spring fairs:
