The Obama scholarships are really grants and it is known as the Pell Grant. This is financial assistance that has been available for some time, but Obama recently increased the amount to over $5000. And he is really encouraging mothers in particular to go back to school. There is no doubt that this money would come in handy for any mom that is struggling with finances.
