Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE)
The Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination is the state level examination organized by the Mahamaya Technical University. The examination is conducted for the admission of students to various professional and postgraduate degree programmes in the concerned colleges in Uttar Pradesh that are affiliated to the Gautam Budha Technical University, Lucknow and Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. Some other universities in the state also conduct admission through the UPSEE examination.

The admission procedure through this examination is carried out in Government aided and private unaided institutions affiliated to these universities. Formerly this examination was organized by the Uttar Pradesh Technical University. The examination is controlled and supervised by the Central Admission Board which is under the State government under the chairmanship of Vice chancellor, UPTU.


Structure and Pattern of UPSEE

The UPSEE is usually held in the month of April every year. This is a written examination which includes objective type questions. The examination syllabus and pattern may vary depending on the course which the students have opted for. The examination pattern for the various courses is as follows


For B.Tech:
The question paper includes two sections. First section comprises of 150 questions from Physics and Chemistry and second section includes 75 questions from Mathematics.

For B.Pharm:
The question paper includes three sections. First section includes 150 questions from Physics and Chemistry, second section comprises 75 questions from Mathematics and third section includes 75 questions from Biology.

For B.Arch:
The paper for this branch mainly has two sections. The first section includes 75 questions from Mathematics. The second part includes 50 questions which tests the candidates’ ability in Aesthetic Sensitivity and Drawing aptitude.

For BHMCT/ BFAD:
The question paper comprises of 75 questions from the Aptitude for Hotel Management.

For MBA:
The question paper includes 125 questions from MBA Aptitude.
For MCA: There will be a total of 100 questions for the MCA aptitude test.

Eligibility or Qualification for UPSEE
In order to apply for this examination, the candidates should fulfill certain qualification and eligibility criteria as per the norms of the University. Applicants must be Indian nationals. Candidates must have the previous educational qualifications as required for each course which is prescribed in the norms of UPT University. However candidates with qualification in 12th or equivalent education with PCM or PCBM from a reputed university can apply for the bachelor’s degree courses and those with a qualification in bachelor’s degree in concerned discipline can apply for the postgraduate courses.

Application Procedure of Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination

Students should submit application form in order to attend for this examination. The application form with information brochure can be procured from any of the designated head post offices by paying the prescribed application fee. It can be also obtained by post from the university office by sending a request and application fee as DD. There is an alternative method to submit application form by applying online. After submitting the application online, they should take the print out of that form and send along with DD and necessary documents to the specified address of the university.
