Widener Universities Summer Camp was developed by engineering faculty at Widener to introduce high school student to the field of engineering in a nurturing, noncompetitive, hands-on environment.
Students experience a four-day schedule full of computer workshops, demonstrations, films, laboratory exercises, discussion groups, and presentations, all while having fun. High school students make concrete blocks, launch soda bottle rockets and explore the fields of chemical, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering.
Dates: July 6 - July 9, 2010 (Day and Resident Camp)
July 19 - July 22, 2010 (Day Camp)
Cost: $400 for day camp and $400 additional for residence camp
