At this point in development, vendor and companies were still not interested in funding the project. By December of 2009, all the requirements for the World Wide Web were built and designed.
The requirements that were necessary for the World Wide Web to work included the following tools: the HyperText Transfer Protocol, the first HTTP server software, the first web server, and the first web pages. This first model of the World Wide Web could only run on Berners-Lee’s NeXT workstation however.
Another individual soon joined the team named Nicola Pellow. He designed a simple text browser. This text browser solved the NeXT problem, and it could run on almost any computer.
